Trying to find this obscure B&W film about a time traveler

This is a long shot, but I’m trying to find a film from probably around the 1950s. It's black and white, follows this guy who claims he's a time traveler. There's a distinct scene in a bar where he's telling his story and no one believes him. He's got a peculiar watch. The film has a 'Twilight Zone' vibe but I'm pretty sure it's not an episode from the show. Any classic film aficionados out there with an idea?

I pride myself on knowing these kinds of things, and you've stumped me! Are there any other details you remember? Maybe something about the time periods he traveled to, or specific dialogue? It sounds like something that would air on a late-night movie marathon.

Could you be thinking of 'Somewhere in Time’ (1980)? Although it’s not black and white, Christopher Reeve has this old pocket watch that’s central to the time-travel plot. Really pulls at the heartstrings with that classic vibe tho.

idk if this helps but there's a b&w film from the 60s called 'The Time Machine' based on the HG Wells book, guy travels to the future though, not around a bar - maybe mixed memories?

Your description is hazy, but I think you might be referring to a film called 'The Time Travelers' (1964), although that's not black and white, sorry. But if you are fond of obscure B&W films, might I suggest 'La Jetée' (1962)? Not quite what you described, but it involves post-apocalyptic time travel and has an unforgettable style.

Are we sure it’s not a TZ episode? Rod Serling had a ton of weird time travel stories. There’s this one episode called 'A Kind of a Stopwatch' in season 5 that has a peculiar watch – it stops time though, not sure if that’s the one?

Could it be an episode from 'The Outer Limits' or another anthology show? Those had a lot of weird one-off stories. Maybe not a full film but worth a shot?

Hmm, that sounds awfully familiar. You might be thinking of The Man Who Wasn't There (1956). Even though most people remember it for the ghost story angle, there's a subplot with a sci-fi twist that involves time travel. That watch you mentioned is a key prop in that storyline!
