Looking for an old animated show with talking animals

Hey gang, diving deep into childhood memories here. I need help finding this cartoon from the early 2000s. It featured a group of talking animals living in a forest - one of them was definitely a badger, and I think there was a hyper squirrel? They had this treehouse where they'd meet. I remember there was an episode about a dam breaking. It's not 'The Animals of Farthing Wood', more comedic than that. Any ideas?

Are you sure it's not an episode of a well-known show but with a unique storyline? Sometimes shows like 'Arthur' or 'Franklin' would have out-of-the-norm episodes that played with different themes and could easily be misremembered as a different show altogether.

Was there a kangaroo in that one? Or am I mixing up shows? I remember something about a kangaroo politician wanting to build the dam... or was that a book I read? Childhood memories are weird lol.

First time poster here, but I couldn't resist jumping in because I used to love a show that sounds just like this. I think you're describing 'PB&J Otter'. They lived by a lake and hung out in a treehouse. Although they were otters and not badgers, there was definitely a dam-related episode. Check it out, even if it's not the one you're thinking of, it's a sweet show!

You could be talking about 'Oakie Doke'. It aired in the 90s but re-runs were shown in the early 2000s. The main character, Oakie Doke, lived in a tree and helped solve problems for the other forest animals. I don't remember a hyper squirrel per se, but the dam-breaking episode does ring a bell!

I don't suppose you're thinking of 'Toad Patrol'? But no, that was about toads (duh), and while there were some forest vibes, the characters were quite different. A hyper squirrel definitely seems like a really specific detail - this is gonna bother me all day!

Dude this is driving me insane now cuz I can literally see that episode with the dam in my head. There's a scene where they're all trying to plug up the holes and it's completely chaotic. Wasn't it called something like 'Wildernuts' or... no, that's not it. UGH, I know this one!!

Hmm, sounds kinda familiar, I think I might have seen that show. There was a show called 'The Woodland Critters' that was pretty funny, had like a sarcastic fox and a bunch of other animals. But I don't remember a dam episode specifically... anyone else remember that??
