I remember seeing the series on Nick when I was a kid. The animated series, which was entirely 2D animation, focused on 2 children who lived in the USA. Then, they were kicked out by an old man and forced to live in their own homemade house, which is just a group of branches and leaves covering it, making a tent.
The series used to air in the late 90s and early 2000s. I think it then had specials from 2013 to 2016 with improved animation, and then the series ended.
Then it revived in 2018 with 5 episodes and again, a special. Then it got cancelled again.
I can't find the series name and the series is etched into my memories.

It seems like you're describing a series that doesn't quite fit into anything Nickelodeon had in their lineup during that period. However, considering your description of animated specials and revivals well into the 2010s and beyond, it sounds like perhaps you're conflating elements from different shows. Do you remember if the animation style was similar to anything else airing at the time? Also, if they were making specials and revivals, it must have been a fairly popular show. Can you recall any catchphrases or merchandise that were tied to the series?

Hey, this sounds a lot like The Misadventures of Flapjack but that aired in the mid-2000s, not 90s. You sure about the timeline? Also Flapjack was on Cartoon Network, not Nick. Can you remember any specific episode plots or character names? It might help jog my memory and narrow it down.
