Hey there, I read this book a while back, it was getting quite popular. There’s this quote stuck in my head, something about time and space and possibly everything in between? I remember it being quite philosophical and a bit humorous. The author might have been British, and I think the book had something to do with galactic travel? It’s on the tip of my tongue!

Without a doubt that would be the musings of one Douglas Adams from his magnum opus 'The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.' The man practically invented a genre of philosophically-driven comedic sci-fi. A treasure of British literature, I must say. Can’t be anything else if it talks about space and has that peculiar British wit!

This immediately brings to mind the work of Douglas Adams. Not only is 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' a prime candidate for the humorous philosophical musings you've described, but its sequels also delve into the peculiarity of space-time conundrums. Without the exact quote, it's a stab in the dark, but Adams is your likely culprit!

I'd venture a guess that you're having an existential moment courtesy of Douglas Adams. In the infinitely improbably event that I am wrong, I would have to check the Sub-Etha for other possible sources. But, between you and me, slap on your Joo Janta 200 Super-Chromatic Peril Sensitive Sunglasses and gaze once more into the 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'. That quote smells of Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster aftermath to me.

oh you've gotta be thinking of Douglas Adams and his Hitchhiker's Guide series, they're jam-packed with stuff about space and the meaning of life and everything. The quote might be from anywhere in the series, super philosophical and full of laughs, there’s a whole bit about the answer to life, the universe, and everything lol

Sounds like you're talking about 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' by Douglas Adams! There's a quote, 'Space is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is.' Always cracks me up! It's a classic British sci-fi filled with that kind of humor and philosophy. If galactic travel was mentioned, it's definitely this one!
