Old Rock Song Stuck in My Head

Need help with a classic rock song that's been bugging me for days. All I remember is part of the chorus, it was something like 'On a _ Highway...' Sorry I ain't got much else, any help would be appreciated!

OK, I'm gonna need more than that. It's a rock song, that's a start. 'Highway' is the word we're working with here. Maybe if we can get a timeframe, or even what the overall feeling of the song was it could help. Was it upbeat? Kind of a downer? You remember anything about the rest of the words or song structure?

Damn, that's gonna bug me now too. Hate when that happens.

Sounds like you're singing 'Old Town Road' by Lil Nas X there, mate 😂

Man, that reminds me of driving down Route 66 with my buds back in the day, sky painted with sunset colors, and 'Sweet Home Alabama' singing us down the stretch. Maybe, could it be 'Highway Song' by Blackfoot? Dang, now that's a tune.

'On the Road Again' by Willie Nelson, perhaps?

Well, not a lot to go on, but here's a shot - 'Life is a Highway' by Tom Cochrane. Not exactly classic rock in the traditional sense, but hits that 'highway' part of what you remember. Alternatively, check out 'Highway to Hell' by AC/DC, 'Highway Star' by Deep Purple, or even 'Highway 61 Revisited' by Bob Dylan.

Could you be thinking of 'Ventura Highway' by America? That's sort of classic rock, really chill track. Worth a listen even if it's not the one you're looking for.
