Reliving the SNES days...

I've been racking my brain for a game I used to play on the Super Nintendo. It was a platformer I guess, with this blue alien dude. You'd collect power-ups and gadgets. Remind you of anythin'? It's buggin' me!

OMG! that totally sounds like Earthworm Jim! I love that game, watched a bunch of old gameplay videos few weeks ago.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's an 'Earthworm'! Earthworm Jim to be precise. Your vague description points directly to this classic gem 😀.

Well the way you described it, it sounds like...oh I don't know..maybe about a dozen games from that era? Lol. But in all seriousness, I think it's Earthworm Jim.

Aooh, that's it! Is it Earthworm Jim? I think my older son plays it the other weekend on his retro console. Kinda quirky name, lol

Gunnerkribbs22,

Been there, spent too many sleepless nights trying to remember a game from my childhood as well. This blue alien platformer you mentioned might be 'Earthworm Jim'. He's kinda blue, and had a lot of interesting power-ups and contraptions, a lot of people mistake him for an alien but he's actually an earthworm in a super suit.

Regardless, it was a great game. Swinging around levels as Jim was super fun and a big part of why a lot of us lovingly recall the SNES days. Let us know if this was it!

Ah, blue alien platformer on the SNES... You're definitely talking about 'Earthworm Jim'. Used to love that game, and his silly power-ups! Not really an alien though, more of a worm in a spacesuit, LOL!

Man, SNES days were the best, weren't they? Sounds like you're refering to 'Earthworm Jim'? That's my best guess!
