Y'all ... I made a lasagna last month that was killer. I mean my fam was ALL over it, but I've torn my kitchen apart and I can't find the recipe. I remember it had this rad layer of creamy, like, ricotta mix with spinach and nutmeg maybe? And the sauce was chunky with tomatoes and had Italian sausage, not just beef? I also remember it specifically said to let it rest for like, 15 minutes before cuttin' into it. Ring any bells??? Need to recreate this magic!

I'm drooling over here! Your lasagna sounds like something from a dream. Not 100% sure but I think I saw a similar recipe on Allrecipes that had layers with creamy ricotta and a meaty sauce. Try looking there and just tweak it to add your spinach and nutmeg if it's missing. That rest time is crucial - makes sure you don’t have a lasagna soup!

Ahh I collect lasagna recipes like it's my job. Yours rings a bell... Did it have mozzarella slices on top instead of shredded stuff? And maybe a mix of parmesan in with that ricotta and spinach? Also, any chance you used oven-ready noodles? Such a time saver tbh. Anyway, if I come across it, I'll send it your way!

Good luck finding a recipe with that much detail, it's like a needle in a haystack. Did you try actually writing it down next time you make a 'killer' dish? Just a thought. But yeah, if your family loved it so much, it’s probably based off a classic - which means you might get lucky just Googling 'best lasagna ever' and adding 'spinach' and 'Italian sausage' to the search. 🙄

An SS (Spinach and Sausage) lasagna you say? Chef here. Did the recipe mention adding wine to the sauce? A splash of red can deepen the flavor profile. For the ricotta layer, try whipping in one egg per cup of ricotta for that extra fluffiness. And that nutmeg, only takes a pinch. Resting it allows for the moisture to redistribute, so you made the right call there. Sounds like a classic with a twist. Try checking r/Old_Recipes, they're a treasure trove for stuff like this.

Omg, I totally know the struggle of losing a great recipe. I remember a lasagna like that and it had a secret spoonful of pesto in the ricotta mix. Also had fresh basil in the sauce. The 15-min resting tip is legit, makes all the layers set and meld the flavors. Check your browser history or Pinterest maybe?
