Buildin’ my ZX Spectrum library. Gimme recs?

Ok gang, this is it. I finally bit the bullet and got myself that ZX Spectrum I've had my eyes on. I'm thinkin' it's about time I start filling up my game library. For now I've got Manic Miner, Jetpac and Sabre Wulf. Gotta get my hands on Attic Attack, Knight Lore and Alien 8 next. Any other gems I must have in my collection?

Hey, nice to see a new ZX Spectrum fan. Try 'Bomb Jack', simple controls, but super addictive gameplay.

If you're into racing, you gotta try 'Daley Thompson's Decathlon'. Break your keyboard like it's '84!

So glad to see other Spectrum enthusiasts! For me, it’s all about the text adventures. 'The Hobbit' is truly an example of the genre at its best. I promise you won't regret that one!

Jak and Daxter's post really got me nostalgic. Still remember getting my Spectrum as a kid, begging my parents for new tapes, and waiting patiently for the games to load while listening to that squeaky sound. Takes me back! 😁 For a great game, try 'Football Manager', it really shines with simplicity.

As a long time ZX Spectrum enthusiast, I'd strongly recommend the following classics: 'Quazatron' - it's a unique isometric view game with an interesting twist. 'The Lords of Midnight', an adventure game mixed with strategy. Don’t overlook the text adventures by Infocom. 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' is a comedic gem. Last but not least, 'Laser Squad' - a squad-based tactics game that paved the way for the games like X-COM. Happy hunting!

I'm new here but I heard '3D Deathchase' is a great game. Maybe you can give it a try and let me know how it is? 😅

Expert on old games here. You've got a solid start there, buddy. If you are into platform games, try 'Chuckie Egg' and 'Jet Set Willy'. For some strategy, check out 'Rebelstar', it’s a turn-based tactical game, pretty cool. 'Chaos: The Battle of Wizards' is another must, it's a mixture of strategy and RPG, unique stuff. Good luck hunting them down!
