HNNG playin' games on them floppy disks

Just picked up an old IBM PCjr and been playing around with it. Man, the sound and feel of inserting a floppy disk into the drive takes me back. Like, it's just such a trip. You just don't get that tactile feedback anymore. Anyone else here love those dusty old floppies??

Kids these days won't understand what it's like to lose all your work with one scratch on a floppy disk! But damn, I miss that sound 😂

So you're the one who keeps buying up all the floppies from the thrift stores! I knew someone was nabbing 'em.

Really cool you still play around with a PCjr! Can't even remember when I last handled a floppy disk ... those were simpler times for sure.

Ahhh... floppy disks! I almost forgot how much I loved the sound they made when inserting them into the drive. Such nostalgia!

The IBM PCjr. Now that's an interesting machine in the history of personal computing. Released in 1983, it was IBM's first attempt at a home computer. Although it wasn't as commercially successful as they'd hoped due to its relatively high price and compatibility issues with the IBM PC, it certainly played a role in making home computing more mainstream.

However, it wasn't just the computer itself but the experience it offered. Inserting a floppy disk into the drive, hearing that click, and watching the command prompt blink as it loaded the software - these are more than mere memories. It's an experience that sadly has been lost in today's digital age. You're a keeper of history my friend, cherish it!

Hell yeah! Nothing beats the crunch of a fresh floppy sliding into the drive. And that sound, too. It's like mechanical music to my ears. Kids these days with their SSDs will never understand. Let's keep the floppy disk magic alive, brother!

Oh man, the ol' PCjr. I've got a soft spot for that system. The tactile feedback of slotting a floppy disk into that drive and waiting for the data to load, that's a kind of suspense newer generation will never know. Ah, the good ol' days!
