Running a startup while traveling full-time

I'm about 8 months into traveling through South America while managing my small startup remotely. It's a challenge but very doable with the right tools!

  1. Communication Tools: Slack and Zoom are lifesavers for staying in touch with my team spread across different time zones.
  2. Project Management: Trello is my go-to for keeping tasks organized and on-track.
  3. Internet: Always ensure to have a backup mobile hotspot, as Wi-Fi can be unreliable.

Would love to connect with others following a similar path! Remote work is liberating, and traveling offers constant inspiration.

Tools, tools, tools... that's all anyone ever talks about. Sometimes all you need is some good ol' fashioned discipline and less reliance on apps. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

I've been jumping from country to country for years while working. You're absolutely right about the inspiration! I recommend trying Notion for project management. It can be a game-changer if you haven't already tried it.

That's so encouraging! I'm just starting my own thing and would love to eventually travel and work like you. Any tips on convincing a team to stick with remote work long-term? Some of mine are a bit skeptical.

Oh, yeah. Traveling 24/7 and running a business just sounds soooo easy 🙄. How do you even focus when you're always on the go? Sounds like a recipe for burnout if you ask me.

YES! Traveling is the best part of remote work! I was in Ecuador last month—WiFi was a nightmare but totally worth it. Have you got a chance to check out any tech meetups in South America? Met some awesome folks there who helped me troubleshoot local data options.

Great to see people embracing the remote lifestyle! For project management, have you tried Asana or Monday.com? Can offer more features than Trello imo, especially if your team grows. Oh, and check out Pocket WiFi rental services in major cities if hotspots are too pricey.

Man, I feel you! Been doing this for two years now. South America has some cool co-working spaces too, if you wanna break free from coffee shops for a bit. How do you keep up with changing timezones?
