Hey everyone, I've got this app idea for dog owners: It's like Strava but for dog walking. Tracks your routes, lets you share with a community, and even find dog-friendly places along the way. How do you guys validate an idea before jumping in? Don't wanna sink time and money into this if it's a no-go from the start.

From a marketing standpoint, sounds like a niche app with potential viral hooks. Dog owners love sharing pet pics and walk routes. You need a viral loop. Think about an MVP as others have said, but also consider key partnerships with pet brands or dog-friendly places. Cross-promotion could be key here.

Absolutely love the concept! Perfect mix of health and pet care. Start with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and don't fret over it being feature-rich at the start. If I were you, I'd test the concept with a simple web page where people can 'pre-register' their interest in the app. It'll give you an idea of the demand without heavy investment.

Don't get too excited just yet. Seems like a niche market. Do your homework, some solid research. Who's your competitor? What's your USP? And remember, even if dog owners love it, you need to figure out how you're gonna make money out of this.

Just diving into the startup world myself. My mentor suggested talking directly to dog owners and maybe doing some casual meetups in the park to discuss your concept. It’s low cost, plus who doesn’t want to hang out with dogs and their owners?

lol another app for dogs? Whats next, Tinder for dogs? Jk, actually sounds like you might have something. People love their pets more than other humans. Do some customer discovery interviews, or set up a landing page & drive some traffic with ads to gauge interest.

For idea validation, MVP is the way to go. Get a basic version out quickly, see if people are interested. Maybe start within your local community, get them to use it and provide feedback. Iterate fast, fail fast, learn fast. Time and money are precious, don't waste them on building something nobody wants.
