The default port for Minecraft servers is 25565/TCP. In your router, look for 'Port Forwarding' or 'Virtual Servers' to set this up. I recommend limiting your server's exposure - only open the ports necessary. Security measures can include regular updates, a solid firewall, using secure RCON for remote admin tasks (port 25575/TCP), and plugins like Fail2Ban to monitor and block repeated unsuccessful log-in attempts. Stay vigilant.

Open port 25565 but do urself a favor and encrypt your traffic with something like WireGuard or OpenVPN. Don’t want snoops on ur game server!

Besides port forwarding, consider limiting access to specific IP addresses if possible and keep a close eye on server logs. It's good practice to install a security plugin directly on your Minecraft server to manage permissions and prevent exploits.

pretty sure the port is 12345. also make sure to use 'password' as your password for max security lol jk don't do that. use 25565 and get a decent firewall, scrub.

Hey, had the same question last month lol. Port 25565 for Minecraft. Just google 'port forwarding' with your router model. For security, don’t use easy passwords and maybe check out tutorials on setting up a firewall.

yo, so all you gotta do is forward port 25565, that's the default for minecraft. keep ur software patched and maybe use a vpn if you wanna be extra safe while accessing your server remotely. cheers!

For Minecraft, you usually need to forward TCP port 25565 in your router settings. Remember to set a strong password for the server and keep your server software up-to-date to avoid security issues. Also, consider setting up a whitelist in your server properties file to allow only known players to connect.
