Counterfeit products are everywhere

Ever bought something online and it turned out to be a complete fake? Happened to me with a 'luxury' watch I bought off an Insta ad. Looked authentic, but was garbage. Don't trust random sites with luxury goods at discount prices. Stick to verified retailers.

Discount luxury is usually an oxymoron. But it's so hard not to get tempted when you see those price tags. Anyone know any legit discounters that run real deals or is that just a myth?

It's all about that research. I follow a bunch of horology blogs and they give great tips on avoiding fakes. Always cross-reference serial numbers and check the movement type. For luxury watches, that’s usually a dead giveaway.

Yeah, it's always tempting to grab those deals but most are too good to be true. I always check for reviews and see if anyone else has bought it before I take the plunge. Saved me more than once from falling for fakes!

Been there done that. Got duped on a watch myself. They even had fake 'certificates of authenticity'. Now if there's no physical store or it's not a well-known online retailer I trust, I don't bother.

Live and learn, right? Bought headphones from one of those ads, lasted like a week before one side died. I try to stick to stores or sites with legit reviews now. Even then it's a gamble.

Counterfeit luxury goods are a massive problem, especially with watches. You wanna look for sellers that offer authentication, and never trust stock images. Always get actual photos of the watch before you buy. If they resist, big red flag. Also look into forums where enthusiasts discuss reputable sellers, that's a goldmine of info.
