Grandparent Scam Alert

Listen up, fellow grandparents. If you get a call from someone saying they're your grandkid and need cash ASAP because they're in trouble - hang up. It's a scam. Always verify with your actual family before you send any money. Spread the word in your circles.

Maybe it's just a prank bro 😂 But yeah, no money to anyone over the phone unless it's your verified pizza delivery 💸🍕

Always ask for proof. Nobody gets a dime unless they can prove who they are. And I tell all my friends, don't just trust over the phone. Scammers play on fear and urgency! Stay cool and think before you act.

Fell for this a year ago, felt like such a fool. Money's gone, cops said no chance getting it back. Verify everything!

This is why I tell my grandparents to NEVER trust a call asking for money. If it's a real emergency, I'd text not call. Always be skeptical!

Great advice! I volunteer at the senior center and we just discussed this. Make it a habit to have a password or personal question that only real family would know. Can save you from a scam.

Had a similar call last month pretending to be my grandson, they even knew his name which was freaky. Luckily I smelt the scam cuz my real grandson posts everything on Insta and I saw he was fine. These scammers are gettin' smarter, we gotta be smarter too.

It's a sad world we live in where we have to question our own grandkids' voices. I make it a policy to not send any money over the phone. Saved me last week when 'my grandson' called from jail in Mexico. I just hung up.
