Why won't frames match the photo sizes?!

Can someone tell me why finding a frame that actually fits the photo size is like looking for a needle in a haystack? 5x7 photo, 5x7 frame - sounds simple right? Nope! There’s always that tiny sliver that's left out or the photo floats around because it's too small. And don't get me started on matting – why is it never even on all sides? We have one job here, frames! One job!

Didn't know this was a problem for others too. I honestly just tape the back of the photo to make it fit. Works but looks a bit crappy if you look up close.

It's a conspiracy, my dude. Frame makers are in cahoots with the photo printers. Nothing else makes sense! Why else would they make it so you can never just slide your photo in and be done with it???

This! It's like frames are the one thing that haven't been standardized properly. Protip: local print shops might trim your photos a smidgen to fit better. Still a pain though

The matting issue drives me nuts! It's like, has nobody heard of a ruler? Or better yet, a computer that can cut things accurately? I've started buying oversized frames and cutting my own mats. Takes a little practice, but at least everything's balanced!

Just fold the pic? It's not rocket science, c'mon 😂

Here's a bit of insider info: frames are often sized a bit larger to account for 'bleed' - that's the part of a photo that gets hidden beneath the mat to prevent white edges showing. If you're looking for a snug fit without a mat, try looking for 'exact opening' sizes - they should match your photo exactly if they're labeled correctly. Also, always check the product details because some frames include the mat size in the dimensions.

Every. Single. Time. You think it's straightforward but nooooo, can't be easy, can it? I swear they do it on purpose so we have to buy custom frames for twice the price!

ugh, tell me about it! I ended up making my own frames cause none in the stores ever fit right. A bit of wood, some stain, and voila! Perfect fit, and a personal touch. Got a nice rustic vibe going on now :)
