Absolutely remember the dash! You're not alone. Seems like more and more of these Mandela Effects pop up every day. I say trust your memory, if you remember the dash it was probably there for you. Who's to say what's real or not when so many people remember it the same way?

From a design perspective, though, the KitKat logo has been sans dash for as long as the records go. It could be people confuse it with other brands which did have punctuation in their names, or possibly just the way the letters are designed might make it feel like there's a hyphen. The Mandela Effect often comes from our brain’s way of trying to make sense of the patterns we see. So while many people feel strongly about the dash being there, it might just be our brains playing tricks on us combined with the power of suggestion once someone mentions it.

Multiverse theory might explain it, maybe we're all sliding between parallel universes where small things are different. In one universe it's 'Kit-Kat' and in this one it's 'KitKat'. Who knows how many other tiny things have changed that we've never noticed?

No, you're on to something. They're changing small things like logos to test how observant the public is. It's all a big experiment, and we're the lab rats. Keep your eyes open and don't believe the official stories. The dash was definitely there!

I think you're just misremembering it. Logos change all the time for branding reasons. It's easier for companies to create simpler, streamlined logos without extra punctuation. It helps for global recognition too. Our brains just aren't as reliable as we think they are.

Hey there, I've actually done quite a bit of reading into this, and you're not alone. Many people recall the 'Kit-Kat' with the hyphen. This is a classic example of the Mandela Effect. So many products and logos have changed over the years without us noticing, and our brains just kinda fill in the gaps based on our past experiences. If you look at the history of the brand though, it seems that while older ads and packaging may give off the illusion of a hyphen due to the stylized font, there's never actually been an official dash in the logo. Still freaks me out how collective our false memories can be.
