I also thought Pikachu had a black tip on his tail! This is so strange to find out it's not the case...

Ah, the Pikachu tail mystery. A classic Mandela effect example. Believe it or not, Pikachu's tail has always been yellow tipped. But for some reason, so many of us remember it as black-tipped. Maybe it's from the various Pikachu merchandise or renditions that got it wrong and it stuck in our heads? But that's the beauty of the Mandela effect, isn't it? Unexplainable shared false memories. Fascinating stuff.

It's really interesting how many people recall Pikachu with a black tail tip. I've heard of this before and it definitely seems like a Mandela effect situation. I guess our brains just filled in that black tip for some reason.

You're definitely not alone. This is a common misconception among the Pokémon fandom. But Pikachu has never had a black tip on his tail. What you're probably remembering is his ears, which do have black tips. Easy mix up. This type of situation is actually a prime example of the Mandela effect, where a large group of people have the same false memory.

Bro, I totally get you. I always remembered Pikachu with a black tip on his tail too. Until I saw a Toy 'Chu without it and Googled. Turns out our minds are just messing with us.
