Hello, community. I've embarked upon tracing the lost French-Canadian TV series 'Whispers of the Willow.' It was said to be a pioneer in visual storytelling with surreal imagery and complex characters, back in the early 90s. It only had one season due to controversial themes. Currently in talks with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for any leads. If you possess personal recordings or information regarding its production staff, please reach out.

I might actually have something for you. I have a box of old VHS tapes labeled 'misc TV shows' I got from a garage sale in Montreal years back. No guarantees, but I’ll take a look and see if 'Whispers of the Willow' rings a bell on any of the labels or if the visuals match your description.

I've actually catalogued content from a similar era at our local library. If 'Whispers of the Willow' was broadcast in any way, there's a slight chance that there's a copy or some records in CBC's archives or even the National Film Board. Have you tried reaching out to them as well?

"Whispers of the Willow" was a gem, used unconventional camera angles and thematics that broke the 4th wall frequently. I can point you to a thesis discussing its impact on art-house TV. Also, check out defunct local programming archives; some universities keep meticulous records.

Heard about 'Whispers of the Willow' in a TV history class. It was pretty boundary-pushing back in the day! Might be tough to find someone who's held onto recordings though, considering it wasn't exactly mainstream. Wish I could be more help!
