Remember 'Galaxy High'? One of the greatest space-themed cartoons of the 80s, IMHO. Rumor has it, the unaired, extended pilot had a totally different ending and setup for the characters. As a sucker for this stuff, I'm on a quest to find it! If anyone else out there shares my passion for retro cosmic toons, let's team up!

I’ve seen a LOT of old tapes come through my collection but never that pilot. You got my attention though – this kind of deep dive is right up my alley. I'll start asking around the usual places for lost media, maybe someone has a lead. Keep us posted if you find anything

OMG Galaxy High is my life! 💫 I totally dress up as Aimee for all the cons. A different ending to the pilot would be so rad! Doyle and Aimee's relationship was too cliche anyway... I've got a geeky sixth sense that tells me the original was EPIC. Count me in on this quest!!! 😍

If you're serious about this, I'm your guy. Worked at a video store in the late 80s and I still remember the whispers about an alternate Galaxy High pilot circulating on VHS among serious collectors. It's like a treasure hunt that has frustrated many a fan over the years. Was supposed to have a darker tone and set up for an overarching storyline that was scrapped for the lighter episodic approach.

lol let's be real, even if this 'extended pilot' exists, it can't be that different from what aired. Probably just a few extra cheesy lines and some extra bad haircuts. The 80s were wild but not enough to make a lost pilot of Galaxy High some kinda masterpiece.

I've scoured countless forums and databases for anything Galaxy High related, specifically that elusive pilot. There's a few breadcrumbs, like various storyboard fragments and differing script synopses that suggest there was indeed an alternate storyline. Sources lead to a now-defunct production company, Blastwave Animation. Tracking down former employees could be our next step. I'm down to join forces and unearth this piece of history!

Oh man, Galaxy High brings back memories! Had no idea an extended pilot existed. I would love to see the different dynamics they intended for the characters originally. Always felt like Doyle was kinda one-dimensional, maybe they had something else in mind for him? If someone digs this up, it's gonna be the holy grail of retro animation!
