There's just something about The Modifyers pilot that keeps me up at night. It had so much potential – the art style was superb, the character dynamics were spot on. Sadly, Nick didn't pick it up, and now all we have is that one episode. I'd do anything to see what other stories they had planned.

As someone who's trying to break into the animation industry, The Modifyers is gold. It's sad when pilots like this don't get picked up, but it's the harsh reality of the biz. Networks make decisions based on what they think will sell toys, not always on the show's quality. We remember the gems because they were rare. Props to the artists and the writers who made something that still resonates with us.

First time posting here, guys. Just found the pilot after going down a 2000s cartoon rabbit hole. How did something this good not make the cut? Does Nickelodeon still own the rights? So many shows are getting reboots, and I think this one deserves another shot.

Honestly, it's probably for the best. Not to be that guy, but think about how many shows start great and then tank after a season or two. Maybe it's better as a one-hit wonder we can all be nostalgic over than another show that went down in quality.

The creators did drop some hints about where they wanted to take the series. IIRC, they planned to explore more of the villains, and there were rumours of a recurring rival thief character. The team behind it was incredibly talented—Craig Kellman's character designs and Lynne Naylor's art direction were top-notch. It’s a shame that potential is lost.
