The Mystery of Weinerville

omg guys, was I the only one obsessed with Weinerville? Marc literally turned ppl into puppets! It was so weird but good. why is there like no reruns of it, feels like it just disappeared into thin air??

maybe marc turned all of us into puppets and that’s why we can’t find it. we’re not supposed to remember but jokes on him, we do 😂

Shows like Weinerville are doomed to be forgotten, imo. TV networks are all about the new stuff or the reruns that get them the easiest ad bucks. No place for the weird gems of our childhood.

Actually, Weinerville's absence from reruns or streaming platforms isn’t all that mysterious! It’s due to a couple of factors: licensing issues (especially with the music used in the show), low demand by broadcasters for reviving such a niche show, and sadly, it not being as widely remembered or demanded as other Nick classics. It does occasionally pop up in DVD form at conventions or online auctions.

Yo, totally with you here. I think the thing with Weinerville is it's from that era of Nickelodeon before they really thought about the longevity of their programs. It's such a shame it got lost in the Nickelodeon time capsule, would kill for a Weinerville marathon rn 😭

I vaguely remember this show! Had to do a deep dive after seeing your post and wow, the puppet transformations were something else. I’m surprised it isn’t more of a meme by now.

It's so weird that they don't rerun such a classic. I heard it's because of the rights issues or something. Idk the specific deets but apparently, getting clearance for all the old content is a real hassle.

yeah it vanished but there’s like tapes being traded around online. gotta look for these obscure forums, some peeps digitize old vhs recordings, it's a goldmine! btw i'd totally pay for a streaming service just for weinerville, marc was a legend!!!

Weinerville was the show, wasn't it? The way Marc turned guests into puppets blew my mind as a kid. It's def a classic, and yeah, it's super weird that it's not on any streaming service atm. Scouring YouTube has been my only resort.
