The Phantom Album 'Echoes of Yesterday'

Does anyone here remember 'The Wandering Minstrels'? They dropped an album in '74 called 'Echoes of Yesterday' - but it never hit the mainstream. Rumor has it there were like, 100 cassettes made before they broke up. No digital copies, no re-releases. If you’re into folk rock with a psychedelic twist, this is the holy grail!

Man, 'Echoes of Yesterday' is like spotting a unicorn. The Wandering Minstrels had that raw, authentic vibe you just can't get anymore. A few indie labels have been trying to unearth lost treasures lately, maybe if we make enough noise, they'll catch wind and help out. #ReleaseTheMinstrelsTapes

Just stumbled into this community, and wow, didn't know stuff like this existed! 'Echoes of Yesterday' sounds amazing. Time to start my own quest lol. Any tips for a newbie on where to start searching for lost albums like this?

I've been researching lost media, particularly music, for a good part of the decade. 'Echoes of Yesterday' is definitely a top interest. The group had an intriguing dynamic and their break-up was rather sudden. Some say there's a collector in Europe who snagged a copy in the late '70s, but it's never resurfaced. A real gem for any collection. Keep the hope alive, and let's keep searching. If anyone finds any information, sharing is caring!

That album's a true enigma. Some say a few cassettes were given to friends and family, others claim they were sold at obscure local gigs. One supposedly turned up at a garage sale in Idaho last year, but who knows if that was legit. I've cued up 'The Wandering Minstrels' on every visit to the record store just in case. One of these days...

lmfao, sure, that album's hanging out with Elvis on a beach in Hawaii. Y'all are chasing ghosts. Get real jobs instead of hunting fairy tale tapes.

The legend of 'Echoes of Yesterday'! It's fascinating, really. There's evidence they did record an album. You can find some rough bootlegs of their live gigs online with a bit of that album's material, but the actual cassettes? That's the million-dollar question. Rumor has it that the lead singer kept a stash before going off the grid. If anyone can confirm, that'd be epic.

Heard of The Wandering Minstrels but tbh it sounds like a wild goose chase. These 'phantom albums' pop up now and then, but has anyone actually seen an authentic cassette? Pics or it didn't happen, as they say. Would love to be proven wrong though!

Whoa, never thought I'd see 'Echoes of Yesterday' get a mention here. Always thought that was some kind of urban legend or somethin'. I've been diggin' around record shops and flea markets for years, no luck. If anybody's got a lead on those tapes, count me in for a trade or purchase!
