I’ve been compiling a database of 90s soda commercials and there’s this one ad that’s eluding me. It’s for a brand I think was called 'Zap Cola' - had this radical, extreme sports theme with BMX, surfers, and a catchy jingle. Any 90s kids remember this or did I dream it up? I'd love to find this ad for my collection. Seems like it vanished off the face of the Earth.

Zap Cola definitely existed, I'm almost positive! I have this vivid memory of a dude doing a 360 on his skateboard while holding a can of Zap. It was the epitome of 'cool' back then. I've been collecting old TV Guides, might be a mention in there, will check and get back to you. Keep the faith alive!

What if Zap Cola was some sort of test market product that got erased because it was too awesome? Like, Big Soda couldn't handle the competition, so they scrubbed it from history. You ever think about that? The 90s were wild, man. We may never know the truth.

I get you, man. There's this database online for commercials, I think it's called 'Commercial Ad Archive' or something like that. They've catalogs for everything, even the obscure stuff. If Zap Cola was as radical as you say, it might be listed there. They've got a request thread too, where you can ask for specifics.

Hey, I specialize in tracking down old ads for brands that have disappeared into the ether. Zap Cola rings a bell. I think they were a short-lived off-brand trying to capitalize on the Xtreme craze. I'll dig through my archives this weekend and see what I can find. No promises, but if it exists, I might have it.

Dude, Zap Cola sounds familiar! I vaguely remember something like that with a group of teens doing kickflips and chugging soda. Or maybe it's just the 90s blend into one big extreme sports commercial in my head. Have you checked any old VHS recordings? Sometimes they pop up in between episodes of recorded TV shows.
