MOM's Spaghetti Sauce Recipe - from 80s commercial?

Guys, this might be a weird one. But my family used to make this spaghetti sauce that my mom swore was from an old commercial. It had a jingle and everything. She passed away, and we never got the recipe written down, but I remember it was chunkier than most, had a secret spice that she'd tease us about (might've been nutmeg or something?), and was called 'MOM's Sauce' or something catchy. Anyone's parents remember this or did we all imagine great TV recipes?

Nostalgia's powerful, isn't it? JOY's Chunky Tomato Sauce rings a bell, but not MOM's. Still, not every product made it to national fame. If nutmeg was the secret, try that in your sauce, respect the memory, keep taste alive. Maybe someone else here will connect the dots for you. I'll peek in some of my mom's old cooking mags.

Oh man, I'm all about those old commercials. The jingles were my jam! 'MOM's Sauce' kinda sounds familiar, but can't put my finger on it. Have you tried those YouTube channels that specialize in old commercials? Might be a long shot, but you might get lucky and find it!

New here, but a chef in the making. Your post caught my attention. I've never heard of MOM's, but I'd love to know more about that secret spice! Makes me think of my grandma's cooking secrets. Will keep an eye on this thread for sure.

The quest for lost recipes is real—I feel you. Have you tried looking through old cookbooks from the 80s? Sometimes they have recipes from ads in them. Libraries or used bookstores might be a goldmine.

You sure it wasn't just Prego and your mom was pulling your leg? LOL. Jk jk, but really, never heard of MOM's. Sounds too generic to be a big brand. Good luck with your sauce quest tho.

Actually remember a whole bunch of food product commercials from back in the 80s, the catchier the jingle, the better they sold, right? As for MOM's, nah doesn't ring a bell. But given the era, chunkier sauces were a big hit—people loved to feel that 'homemade' vibe. Definitely could have been a small regional brand. Your best bet might be to search archives for local TV stations from back in the day. A lot of commercials never made it to the big networks.

MOM's Spaghetti Sauce, huh? The 'secret spice' part is intriguing. Nutmeg in tomato sauce is an old Italian trick, actually adds warmth to the flavor. If it's not nutmeg, try a pinch of cinnamon or even allspice. For old commercials, your best bet could be looking through digitized old TV guides or reaching out to collectors.

Dude, this is such a blast to the past. Can't say I remember MOM's sauce specifically, but I remember ads for so many products had their own jingles. Maybe try hitting up some old cooking forums? You never know who's hoarding recipes as a hobby lol.
