Guys, I was digging through my grandpa's attic and found this ancient VHS tape from the 80s. You won't believe it, but it starts with this wicked awesome retro logo animation for a company called 'Starwave Video'. There’s like, a neon grid and a star zooming in—super synthwave vibes! Can’t find much about 'em online, but the logo alone is pure gold for aesthetics. Wish I could upload it but my VCR is toast... anyone remembers it or got info?

Starwave Video had some primo logo work but weren't well-known. A lot of design elements from that era inspired current retro wave art, including my own work. Definitely a treasure for design inspiration. Fix up that VCR or get a USB capture device to save that logo animation!

You've stumbled upon a real treasure there. 'Starwave Video' was a small distribution company that went out of business by the early '90s. Their logo animations were some hidden gems of the VHS era. Very few records of their work exist today, mainly because they were overshadowed by the bigger players. I'd recommend checking out specialty forums or contacting collectors if you're looking for more info. And definitely get that tape converted to digital; these animations are part of our cultural heritage!

Omg yes! Starwave Video was such an underappreciated studio back in the day. Their logo is like a time capsule of the 80s aesthetic. It's tough finding their stuff nowadays. If u manage to digitize that VHS, it'll be a sick contribution to the community!
