Stumbled on a rare '90s Taco Bell logo variant.

Guys, I hit the jackpot at a garage sale! Found an old Taco Bell sign with the purple and pink logo, except it's got this weird neon outline I've never seen before. It's like someone from the '90s took the regular sign and decided it needed more pizzazz. Not sure if it was an official variant or just someone having fun, but it's definitely obscure. Figured this was the right crowd to share the find with!

Fascinating piece! The 90s were an era of bold choices in the fast-food industry, with Taco Bell at the forefront. What you have might be an outlier, a test that didn't make the cut across all stores. If you can, check it out for any distinguishing features that can track its origin, maybe a location or a designer's signature.

That logo variant screams 90s! You're so lucky to find that. There were tons of experimental designs going on that never made it big. I'd love to see it displayed. Major vibe!

In the '90s, neon was all the rage. It's possible that a franchise owner took liberties to create a unique sign that would stand out, especially at night. So while it might not be an official corporate design, it's a cool piece of the era's aesthetic. By any chance, are there any manufacturer marks on it?

That's an insane pickup!! Would love 2 see a pic of that. Taco Bell's used a lot of wild designs that never hit the mainstream, probly worth something too if u ever decide to sell. 👀

That logo variant actually might be an official test design. Taco Bell was pretty experimental in the '90s. You'd see them play around with signage and branding, especially in bigger cities or close to college campuses. If the neon outline looks professionally done, it's quite possible it came straight from a concept store.

Oh wow, that's a nice find! The '90s were wild with experimental branding. I remember some locations trying out different aesthetics to stand out. Might be one of those local promo items that just slipped through the cracks of history.
