Claims of the 'Wonderwood Puppets' – True or just a myth?

I'm seeing a lot of posts pop up about a supposed puppet show called 'Wonderwood Puppets'. Apparently it was some sort of educational puppetry program that aired very briefly in the Pacific Northwest during the early 90s. I've got my doubts. There's little to no evidence it ever aired – no VHS covers, no TV listings, nada. Might just be a collective false memory. If anyone's actually got solid proof, I'm all ears, but let's not get caught up in wild goose chases, folks.

I swear I've seen an episode once at my cousin's place in Oregon! It had these creepy wooden puppets or something. But then again, it was the 90s and we were probs just unsupervised kids with too much candy and imagination.

Just make up some 'episodes' and swear they're real. Everyone's doing it. Presto, you've got your very own lost media legend.

Not sure about this 'Wonderwood Puppets,' but I'll ask my kids' elementary school teachers. They've been around awhile and might remember if it was a thing. Also, might be worth checking if it was part of some school program rather than a TV show?

As someone who's spent decades archiving children's programming, 'Wonderwood Puppets' doesn't ring any bells. That being said, I've come across multiple unlisted programs before, so it's not entirely out of the question. A program with a brief airing or limited release might not make it into TV listings or have widespread merchandise. I suggest checking with local universities or public access stations for archives.

Hey all, longtime lurker, first-time poster. The Pacific Northwest had a lot of small, local programming in the early 90s. There's a chance Wonderwood Puppets was a hyper-local show that didn't leave much trace. Local TV stations didn't always keep great archives. I'll reach out to some of the local stations and libraries in the area to see if they have anything in their records.
