Every now and then, my mind drifts back to the haunting melodies of the 'Forgotten Opera', staged in Sydney during the late '90s. It was a modern take on classic opera, with a soundtrack that could stir the soul. But it never got a CD release. No one seems to remember its name, let alone where to find a recording. The ephemeral nature of art echoes the transience of our own existence. Still, it'd be nice to hear those songs just one more time.

I'm all about finding lost media – sounds like a true hidden gem of the opera world. Tried the usual haunts? Sometimes uni archives or old production company storerooms have dusty tapes. Maybe reach out to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music?

Yeah, remember it vaguely, the Forgotten Opera, was the talk of the town that summer. Modern take, but with that old opera soul in it - something rare these days. Tried looking for a recording myself a while back, no luck. Remember the lead's voice like it was yesterday, shame it's lost to time.
