As someone working in media preservation, these cases are tough. You're looking at a potential U-Matic or Betacam format, which means specialized playback equipment is needed. If you do find someone with a copy, make sure they can transfer it to a modern format for you. I bookmarked a few specialist forums and websites years ago that might still be active. DM me if you want the links.

This mini-series is a part of our cultural history if you think about it. Sadly, lots of stuff from that era never made the digital leap and got lost. If you can't find it through the usual channels, consider submitting a request to the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia. They might have it and maybe can work out a way to give you access or at least point you in the right direction.

Oh man, 'The Great Bookie Robbery'! Inspired by the real heist in Melb '86 right?? Such a gripping story. Maybe try true crime forums too. Some folks there hoard all sorts of obscure crime series and might help ya out. Or failing that, check out academic or university libraries.

Ah yes, the mini-series you're looking for was epic! Aired on Channel Seven back in the day. Definitely pre-digital era, so makes sense it's tough to find streaming. Did you try reaching out to the network itself? Sometimes they have archives you can request access to - long shot, but worth it for this gem!

you've got taste, 'The Great Bookie Robbery' is classic! iirc that mini-series is like a holy grail and hard to find. used to be a copy floating around on vhs in some collector circles. try checking out second hand shops or old school swap meets, sometimes gold like that pops up out of nowhere. good luck
