If anyone remembers this interstitial cartoon, here's how I explain it:
I think it aired between commercial breaks.
It was about Dinky Sinks (a schoolboy) who would often explain things that freaked him out in a stage setting. Then, a rope would appear featuring the thing he explained, giving him a little heart attack.
I think the interstitial lasted 1 minute, and had 2D with partially 3D backgrounds.

Challenge accepted. I pride myself on being able to find the rarest shows out there. 'Dinky Sinks and The Ritzy Nonce' is now next on my list. These obscure titles sometimes surface on strange old video hosting sites or tucked away in forums most people don't tread. I'll report back if I hit pay dirt. 🕵️♂️

I'm not 100% on this but the way you describe it, doesn't ring any bells. Dinky Sinks? Sounds made-up. You sure you ain't confusing it with some other show from those days? The tv was full of odd shorts back then. But a heart attack rope? That sounds a bit too intense for a kids' cartoon...

To everyone here: I have a massive archive of VHS recordings from various children's programming blocks. I'll dig through them this weekend and see if 'Dinky Sinks' pops up. No promises, but I recall my little sis being terrified of that heart attack rope bit. If I find anything, I’ll convert it to digital and post!

Oi oi, I know exactly the one you're talking about! 'Dinky Sinks and The Ritzy Nonce' was defs an Aussie interstitial I used to see during my arvo cartoon binges. Wicked to see someone else remembers it. From memory, it wasn't on air for long, maybe a couple of seasons max. Lost media indeed, hard to find even a whisper of it these days.

I think it also aired between continuity links on Cheez TV and Nickelodeon Sarvo.

omg yes, Sarvo was my jam! And Dinky Sinks had these weird 3D backgrounds that kinda popped? like they were done in a different style than Dinky himself. It was like he would jump into a different reality almost. always thought that was a unique touch.

Hey I remember that one! 'Dinky Sinks and The Ritzy Nonce' was like a blink and you'll miss it kinda cartoon. Used to air during ad breaks on one of the lesser-known networks, which might be why it is so hard to find these days. I reckon the unique blend of 2D and 3D animation was before its time, and it definitely had an influence on some animators I know. Now it's kinda fading into obscurity, which is a real shame.

Dinky Sinks sounds super familiar y’all. Wasn’t that part of that quirky short lineup on kids channel back in early 2000's? I vividly remember my nephew laughing at something similar, maybe it's the same show. Someone pls unearth this gem!
