Looking for old kids' show with talking animals

Hey guys, I'm trying to remember this old show from my childhood. It had talking animals, maybe in a forest? There was a squirrel and a bunny, but I can't remember the names. It aired in the early 2000s. Any ideas?

Try checking out old programming blocks from PBS Kids or Nick Jr. shows. They had a lot of forest-based and animal-themed shows during that time.

Maybe it's 'Rupert'? Rupert the Bear had all sorts of animal friends, though it might be a bit older, it was still rerun in early 2000s.

Hey, there's a good chance this might be 'The World of Peter Rabbit and Friends'! Aired initially in the late '90s but rerun in the early 2000s. Had both a squirrel, Squirrel Nutkin, and a rabbit, Peter Rabbit. Often set in a forest environment.

Could it be 'Timothy Goes to School'? Timothy was a raccoon, not a squirrel, but there were plenty of other talking animals in a school setting!

I think you might be talking about the show 'Animals in the Forest'! It aired around that time and had a squirrel named Sammy and a bunny named Bella. I used to love that show!
