The Fairly OddGoombas

So, this was a short made in early 2009 and was available on YouTube up until 2017.

The short itself featured Mario instead of Timmy, and Goombario and Goombella instead of Wanda and Cosmo. It was essentially a parody of The Fairly OddParents.

What I remember was that it featured actual clips from The Fairly OddParents, but with faces of Mario (Paper Mario artwork), Goombella, and Goombario placed over Timmy, Wanda, and Cosmo's faces, and redubbed with different dialogue.

It got deleted in 2017, and was never archived. Shortly after the deletion, an user reuploaded the video on Dailymotion but the reupload got deleted in 2019.

All I can find is a mention on a blog stating that one of the users watched the video.

Did you hear anything about why it got removed initially in 2017? Was it copyright, or did the uploader take it down themselves? That could give us some clues on how to recover it.

Honestly, it sucks that the uploader did controversial things, but I just want to see that video again. It was hilarious seeing Mario, Goombario, and Goombella in those roles!

Yeah I remember watching it back in the day. It's crazy how some of this old content just disappears, but the controversy makes sense. Too bad tho, it was a pretty funny parody!

It's annoyingly common that these brilliant projects disappear into the ether. YouTube doesn't value historical preservation at all. Hoping someone has it on an old hard drive or something.

Have you tried using the Wayback Machine? Sometimes you get lucky and find a working snapshot. Also, check if anyone mentioned it on old Reddit threads or forums.

This happens a lot with niche content. If it was deleted in 2017 and wasn't archived, best bet might be reaching out on forums or contacting the original uploader if you can dig up their info. Sometimes they might have backups or know more about the video's whereabouts.
