Around 1991, Nickelodeon partnered with Stanley Steemer to launch a 22-minute talk show program called "Clean Ya Carpets", hosted by the late rapper Tupac Shakur. It was cancelled around 1993.
The talk show focused on Tupac Shakur (the host) and some kids (who varied by episode) discussing about carpets and how they are easy to clean. At the end, a short skit would play where Tupac called Stanley Steemer to clean one of his dirty carpets.
The series was a pretty great show, I used to watch it on Nick when it last reran in 2013. But sadly, none of the 26 episodes have been surfaced, let alone even clips. A YouTuber who is a friend of mine named "The Nick Vault" has archived a VHS that contains all 26 episodes of the series, but is gatekeeping them due to copyright.

I dig deep into these kinds of claims, and this one's oddly hard to verify. You'd think Tupac hosting a talk show would've left some kind of paper trail, but no luck yet. No interviews, no promos, nada. Either this was super under-the-radar, or it's a hoax. Has 'The Nick Vault' said anything more on this?

This is an intriguing piece of television history, and the participation of a cultural icon like Tupac makes it especially valuable. It's important that we find a way to properly archive and share 'Clean Ya Carpets' for both research and posterity. There must be documentation within Nickelodeon's archives or perhaps former crew members with insights. The gatekeeping of 'The Nick Vault' raises concerns - this content should be accessible for educational purposes, at least.

Honestly, a show about carpet cleaning seemed pretty on-brand for Nick's weirdness. I remember the skits bein kinda funny, with Tupac bringing some real heart to the convos with the kids. Shame it's buried. Can anyone contact 'The Nick Vault'? Our carpets need Tupac's wisdom!

This is absolute GOLD for those of us in the lost media community. 'Clean Ya Carpets' would be a monumental find. There's gotta be a way to convince 'The Nick Vault' to release the tapes or at least confirm their existence. Copyright's tricky but maybe they can be persuaded to do it for historical preservation?

Wait, aren't you pulling our leg? Tupac on a kids talk show about carpets?! That sounds off-the-rails even for the 90s. I was all about Nick back then but don't remember this at all. Plus, 'The Nick Vault' guy sounds like a myth. Where's the proof?

No way, TUPAC hosted a Nickelodeon show about carpet cleaning?! Haha, childhood was wild. I got vague memories of something like this, but didn't think it was real. Thought it was just some fever dream lol. If anyone finds clips or full eps, plzz share!
