Scored a 'Star Chaser' VHS Tape!

Y'all won't believe it, I actually found a VHS copy of 'Star Chaser: The Legend Forgotten' at a yard sale. This bad boy was once a rental-exclusive and never made it to digital. I nearly lost it when I saw it, it was right there between some workout tapes and old sitcom reruns. The box is a bit mangled, but the tape plays fine! Such a lost gem, still got that gritty 80s animation charm! Anyone else seen this rare bird?

Oh wow, great score! 'Star Chaser' is one of those flicks that needs more love. That VHS might be in rough shape now, but it's a little piece of history. Any chance you could upload some screenshots or clips? Sharing is caring, haha! 💫

I’m surprised people still get excited over VHS tapes. I mean, it's cool you found something rare, but isn't it just easier to watch stuff on streaming? Just sayin'.

An excellent find indeed! 'Star Chaser: The Legend Forgotten' holds a special place in the history of 80s animation due to its distinctive art style and cult status. Since it never made the leap to digital officially, physical copies are the only way to experience it as intended. Have you considered transferring the content to a digital medium for preservation? The magnetic tape in VHS is prone to degradation over time, so digitizing it could save it for posterity. If you need tips on doing that properly, I've got a guide that I can link you to.

Not to rain on your parade, but 'Star Chaser: The Legend Forgotten' isn't exactly 'lost media.' It's a lesser-known title sure, it had a fairly obscure following. Appreciate the enthusiasm, though. Finding anything in physical form these days is a treat, even for a rental-exclusive like this. Just be aware, the underground circuit's been circulating low-quality digital conversions for years—nothing tops the original VHS quality.

DUDE! Star Chaser on VHS? That's like finding a unicorn! I've been on a hunt for that gem forever, so color me jealous! Make sure to keep it away from magnets or anything that could damage the tape. Digital's great and all, but nothing beats the feel of popping a rare VHS into the ol' player. Cheers on the find!
