So who's heard of 'Rocket Rangers'? This cartoon from the 80s has virtually disappeared. Managed to find a few cells and a partial script for an episode, but we're talking about a full season out there just... gone. This show was ahead of its time, and it's a crime that it's been lost to history. If we band together, we might just find this piece of animated history.

I'm a granny now, but I used to record cartoons for my kids all the time. I may still have a bunch of those old tapes lying around. They're not well labeled but if I find the time to go through them, I'll let you know if 'Rocket Rangers' shows up!

Heard of digital hoarding? Well, I got servers of old games, toons, you name it. 'Rocket Rangers' doesn't ring a bell but I'll script a crawl for the usenet groups and old FTP archives. Give me a week. This is like the hunt for digital El Dorado and I'm all in.

Good luck finding that, it sounds like such a cool show! I wonder if local libraries might have anything, they sometimes have weirdly obscure media. Or what about college archives? Some of those film and animation programs hold onto that stuff for educational purposes, right?!

Hey, I run a VHS swap meet and I've seen all sorts of rare media come and go. 'Rocket Rangers', you say? The name rings a bell. Many times, the acquisition results in uncatalogued items like these being misplaced or discarded. I suggest getting in touch with former employees on LinkedIn or Facebook groups dedicated to animation industry veterans. They could potentially lead us to private collections that might hold these lost episodes.

Dude, 'Rocket Rangers' was my JAM as a kid! I remember playing like I was one of them, with DIY cardboard costumes n everything. Gotta dig through my attic to see if I have any old VHS recordings, no promises but this treasure hunt is worth a shot!

I remember the plot! According to Pat Shaun's website, he was the creator of the series (which aired on Fox Kids), and focused on 3 children who are superheroes at night and have jetpacks. I remember watching Episode 5, which was a Christmas special.

Interesting that you mention the Christmas special. IIRC, episode 5 had that distinct animation style switch for the dream sequences. Specifically, it had those glitter effects not seen in other episodes, probably why it sticks in our memories. Contacting old Fox Kids animators might yield some leads, anyone willing to dig into that?

omg yes, Rocket Rangers! They don’t make cartoons like that anymore. The Christmas special was lit 🔥. Wasn't there an episode where they teamed up with like, a space wizard or something? tryna track down any of the episodes is a nightmare tho
