Move aside, Me and My Friends and The Umizumis. We have a big video finding to do.
In fact, I am searching for my video made using Vyond, called "Super Why! 1999 Pilot", which was recorded using Bandicam. In fact, I made other lesser known videos at that time, but this actually takes the cake. This was one of my famous videos in the Benign Kirby account (owned by me, because, I am good at making Vyond videos).
The video was uploaded in 2022. If I remember correctly, the video was taken down in 2023 when the pilot was found. In response to this, I took down the video. And sadly, I didn't even download this (which was my video) before it got deleted.
Here are some points to know: 1. The video was age restricted for no reason. Even though it doesn't have any inappropriate content, but I still age restricted it. This meant, you had to make an account or sign in to watch my video. 2. The pilot lasted shorter than the original pilot (original pilot runtime: 9:40). It was only 3/4 minutes. 3. The video was made using Vyond, as mentioned before. It used the Business Friendly business theme (which is mostly used for fun other than business). All of the stuff were made using Vyond (except for RooHoo, which was a stolen image from a Peppa scene, but cropped to only show Kylie Kangaroo). It wasn't copyrighted. 4. The pilot's plot was different. Original pilot: Wee Willy tells the viewers to follow him, leading into a secret passage that has the Wee Willy Tower. Willa ruins the tower, and what do you know? Wee Willy jumps into a book, asks a why question, and becomes Super Why. He then helps the Three Little Pigs build a tower the wolf can't blow after the first 2 get blowed. The story ends with the pigs cheering, and Willy builds a block tower. Finally, Willa comes to destroy it, but it won't work. They cheer, but it is interrupted by a mother telling Willy about lunch. Willy then says goodbye to the viewer, along with RooHoo. Then the pilot ends. Vyond created pilot: A tune plays, then Willy introduces himself. Then he throws a bag which turns invisible. He then creates a Wee Willy Tower and Willa comes to blow it (footsteps are heard firstly, Willa appears with a cut effect). Then he finds a book called "The Three Little Pigs and The Big Bad Wolf" (the story's name was different from the actual pilot). Then he narrates it, and for some reason, puts a clock instead of the scene where the pigs built the tower. Then the wolf blows it but to no avail. And then he blows again, and the houses are blown away. And the story ends here. Then Willy says goodbye, and out of nowhere, "T" appears on a white background, ending the video. 5. The video's intro featured a superhero costume with a symbol resembling The Flash's symbol. At least it didn't get copyrighted. Also, poor lip sync used in the intro (and for that weird robotic Why, Why part, robots were used). 6. When the final Why is heard, we cut to the Why. 7. The first 20 seconds are just the Nick Jr. Presents logo on a white screen set to the tune of the first 20 seconds of the Super Why unused pilot theme. 8. The first frame after the Nick Jr. Presents logo showed Willy staring at us. Then we cut to some dancing, walking, and talking (lip sync, as mentioned before). 9. Little to no animation.
Even though the video had actual flaws and mistakes, I am still looking for the video.
That's all. Peace out, super smarties.

Lost media hunting is my jam and 'Super Why! 1999 Pilot' sounds super rare. I suggest monitoring lost media wikis and maybe put out a bounty? There are services where you can pay for someone's time to look for this sort of thing. You might want to offer a reward if it's really that important to you. Get the word out on Twitter and some subreddits that specialize in this and you might get lucky.

I've been scouring old YT vids for years but never came across this. Maybe it's coz of the age restriction thing... probably cut down on the views and shares. Check with people who were subbed to your channel back then, one of them might've grabbed it for personal archiving?

if it was age restricted, then there’s a chance fewer people downloaded it coz of the extra step of logging in, which sucks. your best bet might be someone who collects lost pilots or Vyond videos specifically. post in some animation groups or reach out to Vyond enthusiast communities perhaps? also, have you dissected the video’s original URL for clues, any chance you've shared it somewhere?

I tried. Archive.org archived the video a year after its deletion, 2024 (it got deleted in 2023). And there was a post also made by me that didn't get taken down, but just locked. It had the video, but it's sadly deleted.

Archive.org is a hit-or-miss sometimes. Also, private trackers and dedicated lost media collectors could be your best bet. I'd suggest you also post detailed descriptions and screengrabs if you have any. The community here has some ace detectives that could help track down leads. Good luck, and keep us posted!

I hope so. But sadly, I haven't got an invite to private trackers. And good luck with MySpleen, since invites are closed.

Imagine uploading to YouTube and not keeping a backup. This is like internet 101, dude. Everyone knows YT is a hungry monster that eats videos for breakfast. Next time save three copies in two places and one with a friend, or ya know, just don't lose it LOL

You didn't happen to post about it or link it anywhere else? Social media, forums, old emails to friends? Could be a long shot but maybe someone made a copy or mirror. Gotta turn on ur internet detective mode and dig through whatever old stuff you have. I found an ancient meme this way once, not as cool as a lost pilot, but still.

Hey, I've had experience with the Wayback Machine on Archive.org and I know for a fact the indexing can be spotty. If you have the exact URL, sometimes you can retrieve snapshots that don't show up in search. Try using the URL in the 'Wayback Machine' search bar rather than their main search field. Also, don't forget to check out 'replay.web.archive.org', it's another layer that sometimes has what you don't see on the regular site. Good luck!

When Bandicam's videos were deleted, they couldn't be recovered, but you could still recover them with some recovery software.

Okay, so no luck with the Bandicam route, and Archive.org's a dead end. What if we try a different tact? How about social media blasting? You got screenshots, any part of the script, or fan communities that might've shared it? You could also try hitting up subreddits related to Vyond and other animation software. You know someone out there's got a lead.

Not sure why we're fixating on recovery software when the vid was streamed online? That sort of software is usually for local data that's been accidentally nuked. What we should be looking at is whether any web caching services snapped it up, or if there's some rare peep talking about it in a dark corner of the web on forums or even YouTube commentary. You never know where these things pop up.

Hate to burst the bubble, but unless that recovery software is top-notch, recovering Bandicam vids might not be doable. Still, won't hurt to give it a go, right? Just don't get any hopes up. Maybe try reaching out to some data recovery forums, some of those guys are wizards and might know some tricks we don't.

man that really sucks, u lost ur own creation and now can't find it. have u tried reaching out on vyond community forums? somebody might just have it sitting on their drive without even knowing its lost media gold. those forums are sometimes overlooked but you'd be surprised what can turn up there lol

Long shot, but check the wayback for snapshots of any forums or websites where you might've shared it?

I checked. A single snapshot upload after the deletion surfaced. But not the video itself.

Wow, someone else into Vyond vids, nice! I'm into those big time. Here's a thought: some fandom sites have dedicated sections for lost media, specially ones with big followings for shows like Super Why!. Might wanna crosspost this to other forums too, increase your chances. Remember, the internet has a long memory and sometimes it's all about where to look. Also, try contacting any content creators who are into this stuff, they have networks and might pull through for ya. Keep pushing, we're all in this together!

Not to be that guy but you sure that vid got archived? Archive.org is kinda hit or miss for me. It's weird they got it a year later, usually it's way sooner or not at all. Idk, just sounds fishy.

Man, that's rough. Wish I could help out more. Have you checked any social media platforms? Sometimes ppl repost vids elsewhere like Twitter or even Instagram. I know it's a long shot but sometimes that random share is a lifesaver, especially if the account wasn't big. #FindTheLostVyond

Tough break, but don't lose hope. It's pretty common for vids like these to resurface where you least expect. Besides, if the video was age-restricted, someone may have saved it locally just because of its limited access. If you got any keywords or unique terms from the vid, might be worth dropping them here. Sometimes search engines overlook the obvious, and someone here might have better luck with a more tailored search.

Dude, that's a bummer that it got axed and you didn't snag a download. Been there with some stuff I wish I kept. You try reaching out on other platforms? Sometimes ppl who watched it might've grabbed a copy, especially if it got some fame like you said.

I'm really into lost media stuff, especially pilots and obscure content. Have you tried checking the Wayback Machine for a potential cached version of it, or seeing if it was reuploaded under a different name? Sometimes these things pop up under the radar. Also check Vyond communities, someone might have saved it for their collection since it's a part of the 'Super Why!' history now.

ah man, that sounds super obscure but super familiar too. i think i might’ve stumbled on it while deep-diving some obscure toon channels. have you tried reaching out on some animation forums or discord servers? sometimes they keep archives of this stuff.
