In Search of 'The Fantastic Four' (1994) - The Unreleased Movie

Alright, folks, here's the deep dive on the unreleased 1994 Roger Corman's 'The Fantastic Four'. It's the most infamous unreleased comic book movie out there. We have trailers, we have still photos, but the full thing? Nowhere to be found. Some say it was never meant to be released, just produced to retain rights. But there are whispers of a VHS copy in the wild. Let's pool our resources and knowledge. Maybe someone out there grabbed a dub from a sneak screening? We've gotta unearth this cinematic artifact once and for all.

Imagine they finally release it and it breaks the internet. And not in a good way. It's so bad it's good turns into it's so bad it's bad! What if... stay with me... we're all better off without seeing it? Mind blown 🤯

I've been on this quest for years! Saw the trailer at a comic con ages ago and it's been like an itch I can't scratch. There's got to be a full copy out there. Maybe contact some of those old-school comic shops? Old store owners might have leads, they know all kinds of stuff.

Anyone tried reaching out to Oley Sassone? The director might know something, or at least point us in a direction. Or what about the cast members?

Actually, several workprints have surfaced over the years. It's widely accepted the film was produced on a shoestring budget to hold onto the rights. I've been tracking copies and I know there are snippets out there... Even seen a few myself. But a complete version? That's the dream. There's a bootlegger's convention next month. Might be worth a look.

I need to see this film! Heard the rumors about the VHS copy too. Some say a German collector had it. Or were they in Brazil? Either way, if it exists, it's gotta be deteriorating. Time is of the essence people!

First time hearing about this. How come they made a whole movie and didn’t release it?

Oh man, the '94 F4 movie is like the Holy Grail of lost media in comic book circles. I remember seeing bits of the trailers back in the day and was so pumped about it. Gotta be someone out there with a VHS. Have we checked all the possible leads from the old crew members or the cast?
