does ANYONE remember the old McPlayPlace designs from McDonald's in the 90s? the fry kids & that grimace jail thing? my cousin swore there was this one with a hamBurglar maze or smth but we cant find pics ANYWHERE lol. it's like they vanished into thin air

Very interesting question! From what I understand, many of these playgrounds were dismantled and the parts were recycled or trashed. It's a real shame because those play areas are a huge part of fast-food culture from that era. I read an article once about how the designs were changed due to safety regulations and changing public attitudes towards the child play in fast-food joints. maybe someone's got old VHS tapes of birthday parties at McD's with the playground in the bg?

I've been collecting old McDonald's memorabilia for years & trust me, the hunt for McPlayPlace stuff is tough! The HamBurglar maze thing your cousin mentioned might've been a smaller, less common design cause it's not ringing any bells. 🤔 There were a bunch of regional variations, so it's possible it was only in select locations. I'll def keep an eye out for it tho!
