Wacky Races Bootleg from North Korea?

Totally heard that there's a North Korean version of Wacky Races. All the characters are military generals. lol, sounds nuts. Bet it's hilariously bad. If this exists, I need to see it just for the lulz.

Find a North Korean hacker and ask them to send it to you. EZ.

I'm from South Korea, and I've never heard of this until now. But the North has made some weird stuff, so you never know. I don’t think it’s on the internet tho.

Hey, this is actually a pretty cool lead. I've read about North Korea producing their own versions of foreign media before but haven't come across this one. Their production quality varied a lot, so it both could exist and be hilariously bad as you mentioned. Going to do some digging and will report back if I find anything!

If there's an anime version of Wacky Races out there I NEED it for my collection, even if it's from NK 😅

Fascinating if true, considering the DPRK's historical use of media for propaganda. Their animation studio, SEK, did quite a bit of outsourcing work, including some 80s cartoons. Maybe someone got their wires crossed there?

Sounds too bizarre to be real. NK's strict on outside influence in their media, even animated. Bet it's just an urban legend lol.

Tracking this down would be wild! There's been all sorts of strange and obscure adaptations of western media behind the iron curtain in the past. This sounds like it could be a mix of state messaging and entertainment. Someone should check out foreign auction sites or maybe try to get in touch with collectors of DPRK memorabilia.

Haha, would not surprise me if that was a thing, propaganda knows no bounds 😂 But you gotta admit, that would be a collector's piece. Keep us posted if you find anything!
