In the 1960s, there existed a BBC 1 show called "Crazy Act". The series had a clapperboard as an intro and there were clips of people doing stunts for every episode, while a male narrator (possibly Terry Wogan?) narrated the series and described what were they doing.

This is a tough one, but I’m all in for a challenge! I volunteer at a local broadcasting museum. Next time I'm there, I'll dig around to see if any of the older folks remember 'Crazy Act'. I'll also check our catalog for anything that might be related. Cross your fingers and hope the archival gods are on our side!

Ah, 'Crazy Act'. Yes, quite the gem and classic example of lost media from the BBC. Terry Wogan was indeed around in the late 60s at the BBC, but I'm not certain he was the narrator for this one. I believe there's a solitary clip floating around in one of those compilation DVDs about classic television. Might be worth investing in if you're dedicated to the hunt.

Pretty sure I read about a series like that in an old TV forum. Might have had a different name overseas though? Licensing stuff sometimes messed with show titles. Also, Terry Wogan didn’t really do much TV until the 70s iirc so it might have been someone else?

Hi all, long-time lurker, first time poster. It's quite a task to locate BBC shows from the 60s because of their notorious practice of wiping tapes for reuse. 'Crazy Act' might be ensnared in that issue. I'd recommend reaching out to the BBC Archive or checking lostshows.com. Hope someone here can pull through with the footage!

Oh man, Crazy Act! That takes me back. I do remember the clapperboard intro but can't recall if Terry Wogan was the narrator. There might be some clips on old reel-to-reel tapes my dad used to have hmm...might be worth digging through the attic this weekend!
