Homemade Window Cleaner That Actually Works!

Got tired of streaky windows so I mixed up my own cleaner! Here's the recipe:

  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid dish soap
  • 2 cups of water

Mix it all in a spray bottle, give it a good shake, and voila! Spray on the windows and wipe off with newspaper instead of a rag for a streak-free shine. Trust me, this works wonders!

lol, what a waste of time, just pay someone to do it for you. It's called a job, people. Windows get dirty, rain will wash them, nature's cleaner. 😂

Tried and tested! I always find joy in these little life hacks. It's amazing how you can make something so effective with everyday stuff lying around the house. Makes me wonder what other treasures we have in our cabinets waiting to be discovered. Cheers to clear views and cleaner living!

First time poster here... Can I use apple cider vinegar instead of white? That's all I have right now. And will it still be okay with paper towels? Newspapers are kinda hard to come by these days.

Yo, this is pretty much the secret sauce in the window cleaning business. Vinegar's got that mild acidity, perfect for breaking down the grime without damaging the glass. The soap is a nice touch for that extra grease-cutting power. And what few realize is that the ink in the newspapers gives a gentle abrasive element that buffs the glass to a perfect sheen. DIY perfection.

Works wonders, sure, until you've got a windy day and that newspaper ink flies all over your freshly wiped windows. But hey, it's not like I don't have an endless supply of old newspapers and vinegar these days. 😒

Love love love this! 😍 I'm all about that eco-friendly life and avoiding chemicals around my kiddos. Tried your mix today and it worked wonders, plus no harsh smells. Even got the little ones involved with the wiping – they thought using newspapers was super fun lol. I'm definitely sticking to this for our window-cleaning days!

Gotta admit, was pretty doubtful about the whole newspaper thing but it works! Who knew something so old-school could outperform fancy microfiber towels?!? #MindBlown 🤯

Just tried your recipe and OMG, it's a game-changer. IDK why I've been wasting money on the store-bought stuff for years. My windows are so shiny my neighbors probably think I've got some kind of magic going on over here 🧙‍♂️✨. Thanks for sharing!
