loud upstairs neighbors are testing my last bit of sanity -.-

it's like they run marathons with bricks for shoes ALL NIGHT. was about to drop a note and be all neighborly like... 'hey, u know floors can be walked on quietly too, right?' but what's the point? they probably stomp on their mail for fun as well. can't win.

It might just be they're going through a hard time and may not even notice how loud they are. Maybe leave a kind note first, see if they respond? I'm sure they'd appreciate your kindness over anger. Kill'em with kindness, amirite?

notes never work, believe me. it’s time to take this to the landlord or whoever’s in charge. these inconsiderate jerks need to learn there’s people living below them!

I've been there, and a polite request might just be worth a shot. Clearly, they might not realize the impact they're having on neighbors. Sometimes people are just oblivious. If that doesn't work, keep a log of the disturbances and get your landlord or property management involved. It's their job to manage these things. Good luck!

Don’t bother with notes. Here’s what you do: set up some speakers on your ceiling and whenever they start, play some ridiculously loud and annoying sound right back up at them. I recommend something with a lot of bass. Fight fire with fire! 😈

Have you considered the possibility that your vexation is not with the noise itself, but with your reaction to it? The sound of their steps could be a chance to practice meditation and tolerance. Or perhaps use it as a metronome for life’s chaotic symphony. Just a thought, but noise-canceling headphones or a white noise machine might be more practical solutions. Namaste 🧘‍♂️✌️

Ugh, feel your pain. It’s like some people have no idea how heavy their feet are?? Maybe try talking to them in person, sometimes a face-to-face convo can do wonders, even if they seem like total ogres.
