Why can't companies make reliable printers?!

Okay, here's the deal. I've been through four printers this year, and EVERY SINGLE ONE jams, has crappy software, or decides to go on strike when the moon isn't full. Is it SO hard to make a printer that actually PRINTS when I click the print button??? I'm not asking for it to make me coffee, although, at this point, that would be less surprising than getting a document printed on the first try. And don't even get me started on the 'low ink' scam when the cartridge is practically full. I'm over it!

Printers are the worst for the environment. Have you considered going paperless? It's the future, plus no jams or ink issues ever again!

Back in my day, printers lasted for YEARS. Now, can't even get one to last through the warranty period. They sure don't make 'em like they used to.

It's all a SCAM!!! They make printers trash on purpose. The ink is where they get ya. It costs them pennies, and they charge us an ARM and a LEG!! I’m done with traditional printers, going full digital.

I work in an office supply store and honestly, it’s a toss-up. Some people never have issues, others return printers like library books. Pro tip: look for ones with solid warranties and good customer service. Sometimes it's not about the printer but about the support when things go wrong.

lol maybe try printing by the light of the full moon next time? Just kidding, but seriously, printers are the spawn of Satan. I'm convinced.

Hey, I actually repair printers and yeah, they can be a nightmare. A couple of tips: avoid the super cheap models, get printers with fewer moving parts like laser instead of inkjet if you can, and yes, the ink scam... just ignore those warnings until you see the quality drop. Or look into a printer with a continuous ink system, might save you some headaches. Good luck!

I totally feel your pain! Went through 3 printers myself last year. I swear they design these things to fail right out the gate. Planned obsolescence is real, my friend.
