rotten egg experience

underestimated how bad an old rotten egg could smell until one exploded in the back of my fridge. guys, do NOT try this at home 🤢. I've dealt with some rank stuff, but this was next level vile. It's like you could taste the air. Cleanup was a nightmare.

Literally gagging at the thought. 🤢 How’d you even get through the cleanup? I think I'd just move out. Ughhh.

Oof, as a mom of three, I’ve smelled things you wouldn't believe. Old eggs are no joke. Next time seal questionable items in airtight containers. Saves your fridge, your sanity, and your stomach. Been there, lesson learned!

Haha, sounds like you made a DIY stink bomb and got yourself! Gotta ask, on a scale of 1 to 'I-can-never-use-my-fridge-again', how bad was it really? Pics or it didn't happen!

Dude, I know the feel. Had a similar mishap with a carton of eggs I totally forgot about. They went full sulfuric stink bomb mode on me. Couldn't get the smell out for weeks. Little tip - coffee grounds. Dump it everywhere. Clean up, let it sit, and then vacuum it up the next day. It’s like a smell sponge. Works wonders!

In a weird way, I'm intrigued by what caused the smell to be THAT potent... When the egg starts decomposing, hydrogen sulfide is released, which is super stinky but also flammable! Maybe you discovered a new way to power fridges, lol.

Pro tip: To avoid a repeat of the Biohazard Level 5 you just experienced, put a baking soda open box in the fridge to absorb future smells. Also, check your eggs regularly, people! If you shake it and it feels like there’s a liquid sloshing inside, that’s a ticking stink bomb waiting to happen. 🥚💣

lol rip your nostrils. Next time maybe don't let stuff ferment until it reaches Chernobyl levels of toxicity. But hey, congrats on the free gas mask test!
