Discontinued 70s food

  1. Danish Go-Rounds - Introduced in the 70s, renamed Danish Rings, and then discontinued. They were Danish pastries you could make them with a toaster.
  2. PizzaSpins - A snack that tasted like an entire pizza.
  3. Koogle - Who remembers a Nutella competitor with added flavors of peanut butter, pb&j, and pb&b (peanut butter and banana)?
  4. Marathon Bar - 8ft braided caramel that lasted a good long time.
  5. Mug O Lunch - Lunch is ready...in a mug!
  6. Tuna Twist - A salad mix, you could make 2 sandwiches with, as the ad promised.
  7. ZuZu Ginger Snaps and Chocolate Snaps - These were my favorite cookies of the 70s. Still miss them.

Every Christmas we'd get those ZuZu Chocolate Snaps, they had such a unique taste compared to stuff today. My grandma had a tin always filled. I’ve tried to find something similar but no luck... sometimes I think about trying to make them myself but it wouldn’t be the same.

ZuZu Ginger Snaps? Forget them, they had nothing on modern cookies. Why live in the past when there are like a zillion new options out there??

Tuna Twist... now that was clever! Make 2 sandwiches with one pack, and their ads always made it sound so easy and convenient. It really was pretty good for lunch on the go. Back then, that kind of convenience was king. Too bad it couldn’t stick around!

Mug O Lunch sounds like it was ahead of its time, what with all the mug cakes and stuff we have now. Kinda wish they’d bring it back, I’d def go for a mug meal during the workday rush.

Marathon Bar, talk about flashbacks! Remember they used to brag about how long they lasted? Honestly, half the time it’d last me all day – not sure if it was 8ft, but it felt that way when you were a kid lmao. Wish my kids could experience that.

Koogle was underrated, period. Everyone always goes on about Nutella but forgets the awesomeness that Koogle brought. PB&J flavor was literally childhood in a jar. It's a shame things like this just vanish, wish there was a way to taste that nostalgia again.

Oh man, PizzaSpins were the absolute bomb! Like an entire pizza party in your mouth. I'll never forget trading these at school, they were such a hot commodity. It's a crime they don't make them anymore!

Danish Go-Rounds were the jam, my mom used to have em ready for us before school sometimes - didn't realize they became Danish Rings. Huh. Just shows that nothing stays the same, not even breakfast :/
