In 1991, Del Monte Foods announced that they would be releasing puddings with Alvin and the Chipmunks characters. I remember their band, their show, their movies, and their 2015 revival series on Nickelodeon.
The puddings came in Chocolate flavor, but there were also Bubblegum and Chocolate Peanut Butter flavors. They were introduced in 1991 (9 years before Y2K happened) and were discontinued in 1992, a year later.
There were also fruit puddings featuring Alvin and the Chipmunks characters too. They were also made during that time.
These puddings will sadly be missed.

All of the puddings would also come with an Alvin and the Chipmunks themed yo-yo. I miss those puddings since 1992. R.I.P. Del Monte Alvin Puddings, forever in our hearts, memories, and dreams. : (

It's so wild how many things from our past have just disappeared without a trace... Those Alvin pudding packs are like a lost treasure of the 90s. I remember them being the highlight of my school lunchbox. And it wasn't just the food, it was the whole experience, you know? Peeling back the lid, finding the yo-yo, choosing which character you wanted to snack on that day. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

Does anyone else remember the commercials they used to run for the puddings? I remember recording them on VHS cause I was so obsessed with anything Alvin and the Chipmunks. Wish I would've kept those tapes now. The Bubblegum flavor was honestly weird, but I'd still buy a pack if they brought it back for the nostalgia alone.

Man, nothing beats the 90s vibe. These puddings, the cartoons, the simple joys of coming home from school and watching Alvin and the bros on TV. They just don't make 'em like that anymore. Whoever has a time machine, kindly take me back. 😢

Oh, I remember these vividly. They appeared during the peak of 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' mania. Not only were the characters plastered on the packaging, but it was a strategic way to engage kids with something healthy—well, healthier than most snacks at the time. Del Monte's move to include bubblegum flavor was quite interesting considering their usual product line is more fruit-based.
