Remember these Coors drinks?

There was Rocky Mountain, a sparkling water line that made your mouth fizz, and Zima, a lightly carbonated clear alcoholic beverage. The former was discontinued entirely, but the latter got a 2018 revival and is still available in Japan.

Didn't Zima try to make a comeback a couple of years ago? Totally missed it. Wonder if it was any good or just a nostalgia grab. And fizzy water's not my jam, but a fizzy water that's like extra fizzy sounds pretty dope.

Actually, the sparkling water hype would've been the perfect time to reintroduce Rocky Mountain. People love trying any kind of new fizz right now. I bet it had a more intense carbonation compared to what's on the market today. What I wouldn't give to have those back for a taste test against the modern competition.

Fun fact, Zima actually means 'winter' in Slavic languages. Always found that ironic since it feels more like a summer drink to me. It got tons of hate for being 'malternative' - malt-based alternative to beer. Guess Japan sees it differently?

Lol, Zima's for people who can't handle real booze. Always looked like liquid wimpiness to me 😂 Rocky Mountain? More like Rocky No-in-mountains 😂 Keep 'em discontinued.

Zima was the bomb, used to feel so cool sipping on that at parties. It's a shame Rocky Mountain didn't last, but maybe it was before its time? Sparkling water is everywhere now, they might've just missed their shot.

Zima was actually a part of the 'clear craze' of the 1990s where transparency in products was a massive trend. It's fascinating to see that it has retained a market in Japan, given it basically fell off the map everywhere else. The revival is often paired with a sense of irony or as a retro drink. As for Rocky Mountain Sparkling Water, it definitely predates the current sparkling water boom but arguably didn't have as distinctive a flavor profile or brand identity as cult favorites like LaCroix or even Voss.

Man, Rocky Mountain was my go-to after sports. Nothing like that fizz to make you feel refreshed. I had no idea Zima is still rocking it somewhere in the world, that's some serious staying power for a 90's drink lol. Wish they'd bring Rocky Mountain back too, Seltzers are all the rage now!
