Not the Snickers one, but the braided caramel one from 1973 to 1981.

Interesting fact – the Marathon Bar was 8 inches of caramel covered in chocolate and sold in a ruler-like wrapper showing that it was as long as it claimed to be. It was discontinued by Mars due to not being profitable enough due to its low price and the high cost of its production. Pity, because it was a unique concept and beloved by many.

Hey, I appreciate your post here, friend. Do you by any chance have a wrapper of the Marathon bar? It's one of the rare ones in my collection, which traces the evolution of candy wrapper designs. I've got an almost complete set from the 70s but the Marathon bar eludes me. Gimme a DM if you've got the goods, yeah?

Oh boy, does the Marathon bar bring back memories! I remember getting my teeth stuck in the braided caramel and the fun of untangling it. They just don't make candy like that anymore, do they? I can almost taste it now. It was like a sugary, sticky adventure in every bit.
