This stuff's super important, don't overlook it. If you have pre-existing conditions or you need regular meds, make sure your plan covers them internationally. And check if they have direct payment to hospitals so you don't have to pay out of pocket during an emergency. It’s a hassle otherwise.

Honestly, most travel insurances are gonna be a bit of a gamble. The best rates I found were with True Traveller being specifically for EU residents, maybe look into it?

I've been hopping around for years, and I learned the hard way that skimping on health insurance is a BAD idea. Look for plans that allow for flexibility, have a good emergency evacuation coverage, and cover the activities you're most likely to do. IMG Global is another one to look into. Stay safe!

You need to look into both travel insurance and international health insurance. For short-term and flexibility, I'd recommend SafetyWing or World Nomads. But if you're planning on being abroad for a long time, consider a comprehensive plan like Cigna Global. It's a bit pricier but coverage is solid. Always read the fine print and get something that'll cover you in multiple countries.

Been using SafetyWing and it's been working out okay for SEA. Affordable and they've got decent coverage. I think it's worth checking out.
