every project I've been on is like sentenced to an eternity in dev hell. do things actually get done, or do we all just kinda shuffle between unfinished projects pretending we're gonna launch 'next quarter'?

Honestly, I've lost faith. I joke about projects getting done 'next quarter' so I don't cry in stand-ups. It's like a merry-go-round of broken builds, feature creeps, and postponed deadlines. But I also got bills, so here I am, the king of unfinished projects, still hoping that one day I’ll see something I worked on out in the wild.

Been coding since the punch card era. Seen all sorts of projects - some ship, some don't. The ones that make it tend to have a couple things in common: realistic deadlines, competent project managers, and team members who give a damn. A little luck doesn't hurt either.

Hi, Scrum master here! I’ve seen the promised land where projects do get done. Agile methodologies can be a game-changer. If your team truly embraces the agile spirit and the stakeholders aren't changing their minds every sprint, you’ll see projects making it out in pieces, bit by bit. It’s all about iterative progress, reflecting on the process, and fixing issues as they come. Stay strong!

Dude, I've been there. But believe it or not, stuff does leave dev hell. It's like the ninth circle of hell, sure, but persistence pays off. Thick skin, a clear vision, and lots of caffeine can sometimes pull a project through. Plus, when something finally ships, it's like the clouds part and the code gods sing. Hang in there.
